Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, Autograph Collection is located 25 km from Waimea-Kohala. The hotel has elimination of sun care products containing Oxybenzone, eliminating plastic straws, plus using salt systems and natural products in pools. Dining options include Manta, serving a daily breakfast buffet and dinner, Copper Bar offering local brews on tap, island-style pupu, leisurely lunch, tapas and entrees. Amenities include a full-service spa, 11 seaside tennis courts, ocean sports rentals, shops and Hawaiian cultural classes. The hotel presents a weekly Big Island luau. The Robert Trent Jones-designed Mauna Kea Golf Course debuted with a televised match between Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Gary Player.
